Instant espresso powder

I'm planning to make a coffee walnut cake but the recipe I've got (Delia) uses instant espresso powder. Which I haven't got. I've got ordinary instant.

Could I just make that a bit stronger and use that?

Or do I need to fork out for the proper stuff?

you can use what you have in cupboard . delia recommends but you don t always have to use the exact ingredients to a tea as long as products are similar it will work and it sounds yummy.
