Egg Free Doughnuts

Plain Flour - 3/4 cup
Strong Bread Flour - 1/4 cup
Instant Yeast - 2 teaspoons
Caster Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Vanilla Extract - 1/2 teaspoon
Warm Milk - 1/2 cup
Softened Butter - 1 tablespoon

Method : Combine all the ingredients together, except for the butter and knead to a soft dough. Add butter and knead again till smooth and elastic. Cover and leave to rise till dough doubles, about 30 minutes. Roll out to 1/4" thick and cut out doughnuts with a cutter. Cover cut out doughnuts with a damp tea towel and leave to rise again. Lift out carefully and fry in hot oil over medium heat. Glaze them as you wish or toss in cinnamon sugar.

That sounds like a great recipe!

All other recipes I have tried have not turned out right, so I'm definitely going to try it this weekend and let you both know how it goes.

I think a caramel or toffee dip would go great with these doughnuts
