Cupcake cases - problems!

For Christmas I got a Primrose bakery cupcake book, and I'm really getting fat into the cupcake lark.
But I'm having problems with the paper cases: sizing.
I have silicone ones from sainsburys, which are the right size I think, but I'm not keen on them (I quite like having the paper to pull off )
I bought some basic cupcake cases, but they're smaller than the silicone ones (they're not 'mini' ones though).
So I decided I clearly needed muffin cases, but they're bigger than the silicone ones. Which should I be using?

*This is all very three bears, isn't it?

Can you not share the mix around whichever size you want - but be a bit careful with the cooking time?

the muffin cases

Muffin cases for 'cupcakes', the smaller size is for fairy cakes.

I was leaning towards the muffin ones. Next step is to get a tin to put the cases in - mine is too shallow.
