Chinese style chicken noodle soup

I'm making chinese style chicken noodle soup for tomorrow and it doesn't taste quite like the stock they use in Chinese restaurants.

I've added onion, garlic, spring onion, ginger and soy sauce to flavour it. I'd appreciate any suggestions for other flavourings that I could add to make it more 'authentic'.

Dash of sherry and reduce a little.It's probably MSG you are missing.

Not fish sauce, will give it wrong flavour.

I think it has to be really good chicken stock, reduced quite alot to make the flavour more intense.
