Another Slow Cooker Question - Sorry!

A friend has kindly donated me her old slow cooker. Its a Morphy Richards and it's HUGE!
It also hasn't got any intructions with it so I have no idea what I'm doing. The dish is divided into 2 compartments is this for meat and veg (thought the whole idea was to chuck everything in together) or is this so I can do smaller portions? Have got the Sara Lewis recipe book from the library so just need to know how to use it!

I think it's in two so you can do, for example, main course in one & pudding in the other.

can't help with 2 compartments question - but if you have any others happy to help

Have had a quick google and its seems that the 2 compartments are for 2 separate meals. Think I'll stick to 1 for now!
Have no meat in the house so think I'll have to wait until tomorrow before test running unless anyone can think of something exciting I can do with carrots, lentils and leeks!

Be careful. With the two compartment ones, the smells and flavours intermingle. You cannot stop this happening so not wise to do say a curry in one half and a rice pud in the other. But ok for maybe a meat curry and veg curry. The condensation goes onto the lid and drips into the other half IYSWIM. Its better to have two seperate cookers really. I didnt think they still made these duo ones because of the above problems.

Mmmmmm, curry rice pud

Yum indeed, will be careful not to be too accidentally creative with my flavours!
