lamb joint in a slow cooker

ok i have lamb joint, some veg, and an m and s casserole sauce. can i bung it all in and will it be done in 5 hours? what temp??

slow cooker still in box, never used...

please excuse typing, am feeding dd!

Yes - what kind of temp setting do you have? I would do it for an hour on high then put to simmer/low

I would give it about 8 hours if the joint is whole, and add the veg with about 5 hours to go. Most slow cookers have low/high/auto settings. I would put it on auto - this starts it at high and then turns it automatically to low later on.
If you cube the meat from the joint, then 5 hours will do just fine.
