They got us a Tefal Actifry...... What is the point of this gadget? According to MIL they are the 'must-have' kitchen accessory and everyone has one (although the ILs don't ). So far I have only mustered up the energy to do chips in it - the point seemed to be that everything would be healthy and low-fat however said chips did not taste nearly as nice as the jacket wedges I make with the same amount of olive oil in the oven. And you had to peel the potatoes and cut thin chips. And they took 45 minutes to cook with the machine all the while churning noisily and emitting an odd aroma. Anyone got one and if so what do you make in it?!

Apparently it cost a £100..... Oh for a £100 to spend on pretty things.....

were they really?! Oh god the odd smell was somewhat like burning plastic / over-heated hairdrier.... I think Ebay is a good plan - but first I need to invite them over for a lunch entirely prepared in the Actifry to show how grateful I am [evil cackle]

My FIL buys pointless tatt for the kitchen and they have one. They cook chili in it as well as chips, so completely worth the money
