What is your favouritest ever starter in the whole wide world?

Looking for inspiration!!

Proper Italian antipasta - cold meats, olives, bread, olive oil, sundried tomatoes, artichokes, grilled peppers etc.

Infact, I'd just have a big plate of that and miss out the main course and puds.

Thai fishcakes with sweet chilli dipping sauce

prawns with good garlic oil

watercress soup

fresh mackerel with rhubarb chutney

fresh sardines, just as they are

this is
probably one of the most delicious recipes I have ever cooked - easy, fragrant and mouthwatering even in the preparation process alone and they are always greeted by incredible compliments!

Gosh you lot. Even at 8am in the morning I feel like eating all of these! I'm now thinking fish cakes with dipping sauce...
