How to preserve brandy soaked cherries....?

I am just in the process of bottling up some cherry brandy and sloe gin that has been sitting tight for months and months - yum yum! Have just drained the cherry brandy to find that the cherries have done their best, leaving a sweet sticky drinky treat, but also are still crisp and yummy themselves and I want to now keep the cherries as they will be lovely with ice cream or pancakes (or just on their own ) etc. But I am wondering what to preserve them in now? Not more alcohol surely?! Would a sugar syrup work and if so how would I go about making that...??! Thanx - MPDx

Hi

Just freeze the cherries in small batches and get them out when you want them and re-heat in a pan or oven.

Don't forget to put your sloes into a bottle of sherry to make more yummy tasting alcohol for next year.
