Sticking Edible Glitter

Having been completely mesmerised by Kirstie's Homemade Christmas - I have bought edible glitter for my mince pies...but now I have no idea how to stick it.

I'm sure Kirstie had a sugar dilution in a pan that she brushed on - any ideas of proportions etc to make it sticky enough...?

i just used water

and a damp brush to brush it on with

worked fine

lurve my edible glitter [sparkle]
