where can i get guar gum powder???

searching high and low but can't find any

I think xanthan gum is very similar - have a google. You can buy xanthan gum in the 'free from' aisles in supermarkets. I know I have bought it in Tesco. Probably in health food shops too.

ahh yes i do have some xanthan gum actually!
