Hmm - why do you want a sauce for pate? Not being funny, but what do you want to do with it?

I heard you can make it with plum jam and a squeezed orange then you drizzle it over the pate but I'm not sure if you add anything else to it, had it once at a come dine with me and it was lovely, (you don't use a lot just a dribble of it)

Yes, that could work. I suppose the sauce depends on what pate you are serving. Also, how you are serving the pate, and whether it is a starter, or part of a buffet?

I guess it is for a starter. Pate is usually some sort of liver with additions. I would do a cranberry and orange sauce - put a bit of butter in a pan with some cinnamon and melt it down. Add the cranberries and cook over medium heat until the berries burst. Add orange juice to taste. Pour over the pate. Eat and enjoy.

Thank you , it is for a starter and I just thought it would be nice to do something different with the pate, Dillie Tantie I might try your sugestion as is sounds lovely.
