Help! My pate looks like poo

It is chicken liver and cranberry with a bit of red wine but was hoping to make mini ramekins for xmas hampers. Really don't think the colour is appetising enough for a gift, so is there anything I can do to improve batch two?

All pate look like poo, top it with melted butter and a parsley leaf in the ramekin, it'll look fine.

Alternatively stick it in a jiffy bag, post it to me and I can pretend I am thoughtful enough to make homemade pate

Agree that all pate looks like poo. Sometimes you have to squint a bit to see it, but that poo similarity is always there.

As long as it's clearly apparent that you haven't left a turd in the hamper, send it out anyway.

Do what Cornish said - you need the butter top to help keep it fresh anyway. Maybe put some dried cranberries on top with the parsley leaf, that'd look nice and festive.

Yes, bit of clarified butter probably is the solution. I could even add a cranberry to the parsely leaf I guess.

Waitrose pate looks less like poo though. I was hoping for a waitrose look I must confess.
