Just had a mouthful of the chilli con carne I am doing for dinner... it is a teensy bit hot. I tend to do it very mild or the children whinge.

Is there any way I can tone it down a bit?

Tatties.
Cook a few tatties in it, then take them out.
Absorbs flavours.
Or take some out and 'dilute' it with tomatoes, etc for the kids.

Serve with yoghurt or cheddar cheese. And give them milk to drink with it.

Or sour cream.

Or use it to make fajita tye things with the yogurt and cheese and avocado all rolled in a tortilla.

ooh nicky wins based on my "what is in the cupboard" solution method

Thanks!
No, not due till June.
I had no kidney beans, so made sort of chillified thing of my own invention. Cleared the sinuses.
Hope the tatties worked?
