sorry not more inspired. At the moment all dcs want to cook is cake and mince pies!

Mine like to do stir fry. Lots of chopping, a bit of stirring and a shake or two of soy sauce, honey etc and they're done.

Thanks Lonicera, good idea

my dd likes spreading marmite on ready rolled puff pastry, twisting it and sprinkling cheese over them, getting a grown up helper to put them into the oven then eating them once they are cooled down. Her very own invention too.

pitta bread pizzas - put bowls of different toppings, cheese, tom sauce out & get them to make their own.

Cheese scones - this is my all-time fave because they can do the whole thing themselves - there's v little butter in a scone recipe so they can do the rubbing in bit by themselves and then it's easy to roll and stamp out the dough.

Anything that involves using the blender/food processor/electric hand held beater is very popular with DD. Soups, tomato sauce etc.

Thanks all.

Ooh yes I used to love making cheese scones nomoresleep.

my 4 year old recently made the fish cakes off I can cook (cbeebies) by herself. Sh elaso loves doing the jacket potato things where you scoop out the potato, mix it with cheese etc then grill it.

CyberCinders · 16/12/2009 21:34
