Food colouring - does it stain?

Was thinking of using it to colour pasta to make into pretty necklaces for DD's cousins

Not sure how you could do this. As you would have to cook the pasta to be able to use the colouring in the water. If you just paint the colouring on, I don't think it would work particularly well.

Why don't you just paint the pasta? They're not going to eat it.

think that's what I'll do.
