damn damn damn! was being smug homebody making fudge with ds for him to give to his cousins, and it has NOT SET - it's really, really sticky and certainly not possible to send it to the other side of the country!

I found an allegedly foolproof recipe on the net, so that was no good. I need a really basic chocolate fudge recipe/technique lesson - I have sugar, chocolate, evaporated milk - can anyone help??

Oh no...I thought fudge was impossible to mess up - the recipe looks straightforward enough...Does this mean I'll have to do a practice run before making it for pressies next week?

Hoping someone comes along with advice before I waste all the expensive ingredients waiting in the cupboard. (Planning to do Nigella's choc & pistachio fudge)

I have failed to make fudge many times - but 14 yr old ds follows same recipe and its wonderful!

i failed cinder toffee at halloween, you're supposed to be careful as it may bubble out of the bowl if bowl is too small....i ended up with a tablespoon sized puddle...tasted nice tho'

not even trying fudge!
