I did a thread about this ages sgo but in chat so I have lost it.

I can't really cook to save my life. We never have anything made from scratch unless DH cooks. But I really enjoy cooking but I just don't know how to cook much at all. We have a student cookbook which is good for spag bol, chilli etc but not for things like sunday dinners.

What books do you recommend?

I do have the Delia ones but I think that they are a bit too fancy for us.

Thanks.

Jamies Oliver's Ministry of Food is a good basic one. DP has jsut started cooking and he finds the MoF really easy to follow. PLus it's not fancy.
