Can I pour quick jel onto strawberry flan while it is still hot?

I did this last week and if it is too hot it sinks into the sponge

It needs to be cool to warm, just starting to set so you can spoon it on.

Hope it works out!

obviously if its boiling hot it will sink but within about a minute its ok to pour on from my experience

just stir it till it cools a little then pour on gently. If you wait till it cools it will set...hence quickjel!!!!
