Chocolate cake experts, I need your help!

I'm making a chocolate cake; the recipe calls for cocoa powder- that's not the same as drinking chocolate (of the just add milk variety) is it? Cocoa powder doesn't have the added sugar, is that right? So if I used drinking chocolate it would be too sweet?

Where in the supermarket would I find cocoa, and what brands should I look out for?

TIA

That's right, drinking chocolate is not the same, and should not be used.

You should find cocoa powder in the baking section, I live overseas and can't remember what brands ar best, but in my experience you get what you pay for. Someothing like Green and Blacks will always be good, or Valrhona.

I use Cadbury's Bourneville cocoa powder, in red packaging and its fine. It's usually with the tea nad coffee
