I fancy getting one since my mum reclaimed hers. I'd like one that does a large-ish loaf but otherwise I'm not too bothered about fancy stuff. Anyone got one they couldn't do without?

I've got an older version of the Panasonic one with the nut dispenser and I love it. However, it's the only one I've had so can't compare it with anything

Funny, I was just looking at that one!

Panasonic is the best with or without nut dispenser, but large loaves are a funny shape (the tin is the ideal size for a small loaf and large loaves made in the breadmaker are tall rather than long.
Is there is a breadmaker currently on the market that makes a conventionally shaped large loaf?

I only never make the smallest loaf - it comes out a perfect shape. I agree that the larger sizes are just taller - you don't get more slices. It means we can go through a whole loaf if we all have toast or sandwiches but it's no hardship to bake another.

Another vote for Panasonic!

Panasonic here too. The largest ones are a bit tall for our toaster but the middle sized ones are great.
