Would it be really rude to order a takeaway? Worst case that's what I'll be doing, but if at all possible I'd like to serve something home-made.

Something quick, easy, but impressive would be good...and an ingredient list I can grab in 15 minutes in Tesco between emergency toilet trips.

Or can I just buy some pizzas and garlic bread in and leave them to it?

Doh - should have mentioned that one of them is veggie, and another doesn't eat cheese [sob emoticon]

It kinda depends who you're feeding. If it's friends, I'm sure they won't mind at all if you order a takeaway.

Does that rule out fish?

I do smoked salmon pasta - heat hard boiled eggs mashed in creme fraiche with chives and dill, mix with pasta, top with strips of smoked salmon.

I would order a takeaway. They'll understand.

It is friends - I'm sure they won't mind takeaway so I should just go easy on myself shouldn't I!

No she doesn't eat fish unfortunately.

Takeaway!! Definitely. That way they can all have something that suits their diet and you don't have to break your back doing it. If they're your friends I'm sure they're more interested in the company than you whipping up a Delia-style feast! Make life easy for yourself!

Takeaway. Definitely the way to go.

BlingLoving · 26/11/2009 13:23

Definitely takeaway. Not just better for you, but for them too - if you're not well, they'll feel guilty if they turn up and you've whipped up something fab.

I recommend either pizza or Thai - both optionns that can be done in vegetarian and/or no cheese versions.

ZZZenAgain · 26/11/2009 13:25

Thai would be nice and no cheese problmes there

definitely go ahead and get a takeaway

Please don't drag yourself around Tesco when you're going through an MS attack. Take away with some nice wine would be fine.
