Can you freeze pasta?

Or is it really yucky when defrosted.

Made a bit too much pasta in cheese sauce for DD tonight

I made lasagne last year and froze the rest that was left..a few months later I took the portion out of the freezer and it was not that great tbh. I had to just get on with it and eat it. Perhaps it depends on the sauce though or the type of pasta?? Hope someone else can give a different perspective.
