dough stuck in 3D Father Christmas biscuit cutter

I bought this lovely 3D father Christmas cutter for making gingerbread FCs, it's supposed to mark his features and his clothes as you cut the bicuits out, nice idea.

Much to my disappointment though it's rubbish all the dough get's stuck in all the nooks and crannys and won't come out. What am i doing wrong? I've dusted it with loads of flour it's ver frustrating.

Some of them are just crap. Lakeland sell some cake release stuff though that we have tried in these circumstances which works. Or you can try spray on sunflower oil (the one cal stuff is good) which makes the cutter slide off the dough. If your dough is wettish, flour just sticks more.
