How to bulk up lamb and leek hotpot?

Right on Friday I am making Realitybites lamb and leek hotpot (recipe on right of page) I was going to bulk it up a bit with lentils and haricot beans to cut down on lamb price BUT I have just been informed that my guest is allergic to those types of beans. So. What can I pad it out with?

TIA

Pearl barley
Rissoto rice
Chunks of floury potatoes

Already got potato in it but will see if guest can eat pearl barley. Thanks!

Try using lamb shoulder instead of other types of lamb- it's cheaper (even though you should cut off the big chunks of fat while you're cutting it into chunks). I would also add an additional layer of vegetables - perhaps butternut? or sweet potato?

tins of butter beans

Thanks for all the suggestions, I have actually bought some pearl barley but do you think I will have to add extra liquid to the hotpot because of the pearl barley?

TIA.
