quick qu: chicken 1 day past sellbydate?

Would you eat it?
Smelled a tiny bit (that chicken smell - nothing sinister) when i opened the packet, from waitrose, skinless thighs, been cooking for an hour low gas lid on in a sauce- so lots of steam I presume. No longer smells.

Wondering whether to give to the kids tonight or try out on DH first...

of course you can eat it, sell by date is not use by date, and the chicken can't read the time anyay. It doesn't gro listeria at midnight!
