Mushrooms in casserole question

Am making Jamie Oliver beef stew but want to put some mushrooms in it as we have a glut of them! The stew takes three hours to cook in the oven at 200c so when should I put the mushrooms in do you think?

two hours in? if it was me I'd do it at the beginning otherwise I would forget

at the beginning - they won't disintegrate.

They'll be fine whenever you pop them in! Personally I like to put them in with only the last hour to go.

I like to add them to dishes as late as possible. I just like them warmed through really andto keep their shape and colour.
