Any ideas? Thinking of bakes with bread and salad, couple nice puddings or a buffet..roast ham etc. Any good winter salad recipes? Trying in my head to keep it simple..any coronation chicken recipes would be good..the easier the better. Also, any bought fab puddings out there to try?!

I think the bakes and bread and salad sounds good

Tesco finest do a toffe pecan roulade that I absolutely love. Also look for Daim cakes - it's called Almondy I think and tesco or sainsburys have it - it's the stuff you can get in Ikea and my kids (and us) love it!

Have you thought about cottage pie - you can bung lots of veg in as well as the mince and make six or so and it would be easy to eat with one hand off knees etc.

Thanks. I had decided on cold buffet but now changed my mind after a wild day yesterday. Going for bakes with salad and bread or casseroles. Any other fab ones apart from ccottage pie/lasagne and chicken and broccoli?
Do you think I need to do a token picnic food table for the little ones or just over complicating things??
My DH would love a pot of beef bouginoin? Argh. Any other ideas?
