I bought a piece of lamb from the butcher today ready for sunday lunch . Can I put it in the slow cooker I wonder and if so, what with and for how long? I've not used the slow cooker that much yet so I'm still rather unsure of what i can and can't do in it (as you can tell ).

TIA

You can certainly do joints in a slow cooker. Think you have to keep it on high though. Add a bit of fluid, like water? M

thanks cece. Think i'll give it a go. it's only for me and the DCs so if we end up with just the roast pots and veggies, so what?

Chicken just falls off the bone when done in slow cooker so should be nice. Different to a roast but still delicious
