baking bread rolls - interpreting a recipe help!

I'm trying to make hot-dog rolls this afternoon having had some success making my first loaf last week. All recipes seem to be American online, and having converted all the cup measurements I'm now stuck on this instruction:

"For Hot Dog Buns: Shape each piece into a 6x4 inch rectangle. Starting with the longer side, roll up tightly, and pinch edges and ends to seal."

Can anyone tell me what to do with the dough?

Thanks!

divide it into howeve rmany pieces it says

roll out each piece into a 6 x 4" oblong, then roll up like a Swiss roll so you have a 6" sausage shape. pinch the ends together, and press the 'loose' edge tightly against the roll.
