Quick help - have I given my kids food poisoning?

I am SO stupid - I made a prawn curry using cooked frozen prawns and then froze the left overs and have thawed and heated to smithereens to give them tonight, I can't believe I've done this.

Is it inevitable that they will be poorly and after how long from eating?

I am such a stupid twat.

Don't beat yourself up.

Because you froze the prawns after they'd been cooked it should be OK.

oh hang on you used cooked frozen prawns the first time.

well......I don't know then

pooexplosions · 04/11/2009 19:50

they'll be fine, seriously. Done the same loads of times..on purpose! Some of the rules are meant to be broken (if you are careful)

Don't stress, I'm sure they are fine.

eyetunes · 04/11/2009 19:52

i think it should be fine if you have heated to smithers, surely that would kill anything.

Goober · 04/11/2009 19:54

Tis fine. Really.

Thanks everso much everyone - what a panic. I'm fine to reheat it but I wasn't sure about freezing previously frozen as it categorically states not to on the prawn packet. Thanks everso much everyone - what a panic. If they are cooked and then you freeze the result, you will be fine.

What it means is don't take the packet of prawns out, defrost them, and then re-freeze them.
