I hate them
DH loves them
I've roasted them and am now looking at them with a blank expression on my face

I am afraid that I have no recipes - they never get that far in this house.

However, your thread reminded me of an incident when a friend and I decided to roast chestnuts after a bottle glass or so of wine. Neither of us thought to cross them first, and twenty minutes later wondered what all the banging was from in the kitchen.

I'm glad it wasn't my oven...

Just leave them for your DH to eat as a snack. Certainly don't incorporate them into dinner if you don't like them.

Mmmmmm chestnuts.

Just get him to sit in front of top gear, have a beer and enjoy peeling them and eating them.

Thats what I do...

mumble that would be my DH's idea of hell (top gear) - he'd rather sit in front of Eastenders
