OK, well my dd decided at the age of 7 months that she doesn't like being fed from a spoon, so I nearly always have to spread anything she can't pick up herself onto some sort of bread / rice cake product so that she can pick it up.
Recently she has deigned to eat porridge and yoghurts off a spoon though. Yesterday I realised she was happy to eat some veg mash not off a piece of pitta bread, which is normally how we manage it, but, (get this!), off the nose of a Duplo giraffe!!!!
So, yesterday she had:
Bf 6oz formula from bottle
1 slice wholemeal toast with butter and a banana spread on it.
A few mouthfuls porridge with raisins off a spoon
Some dry no salt/sugar rice crispies
mid morning
A few oz formula from a beaker (6oz were on offer, but we are having beaker battles at the moment)
lunch
Wholemeal pitta bread containing butter nut squash mash
Some pieces of cheese
Some pieces of pear
A mini baby yoghurt
Very very dilute grape juice & water from beaker
Mid afternoon
6 fl oz formula from bottle
A homemade (by dh, not me!) plum / oat biscuit
Tea
Mini homemade pizza (another handy veg finger food!) Homemade, by me, for a change
Some pieces of apple
Very small piece of buttered malt loaf
Baby yoghurt
Very very dilute juice / water from beaker
Bedtime
8 oz milk from bottle
But some days she has a few nibbles of cheese and fruit and that's it!
Thanks everyone.
