Allergic children - have you found that Goats milk is a bit magical? In which case, can you tell me what it is?

I need to spread the word.

DS was always snotty with a rattly chest. He has also been a horrible sleeper. But since we started using goats milk (as a last stab in the dark) he is no longer snotty and his chest is clear. This was 2 months ago.

I was so sceptical about trying this out. Why is it so much better than cows milk?

I gave away my dairy free cookbook recently, but from memory, cow's milk contains a protein called casein and I believe goats milk doesn't. I think it's the casein that can be the allergen. I'm sure someone will be along soon who knows for definite

Thank you JetLi. I wondered why it was 'better'. But it seems to be an anecdotal thing more than anything.
