delias xmas cake have i used wrong sugar

just made delias xmas cake and have used light soft brown sugar,should i have used dark,does it really matter.it just says on recipe soft brown sugar.its in the oven now.will it still be ok

It will be fine - possibly a little lighter in colour than if you used dark brown sugar, but otherwise no problem.

thanks lily only made it for myself but after buying all the ingredients didn't want it to turn out horrible
