Snacks for DH who is training for half marathon?

DH is training for a half marathon and likes to have snacks before or after (or both seems to be the case!) he goes running.

Currently hes having either cereal bars, banana or peanut butter on toast/crackers which is getting a bit dull as being rotated daily.

Can anyone suggest any healthy but filling alternatives please?
