Recipe for Basic Biscuit Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup self raising flour
1 cup plain flour
Pinch salt
125g butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
milk (if too dry)

Method:
Mix butter and sugar till light and fluffy
Add egg, flour and salt, mix well. If mixture is too dry then add some milk.
Knead lightly and roll out on a floured board as thinly as possible.
Cut out in desired shapes and place on greased cookie tray.
Bake in a moderate oven (180°c) for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
