I've just made a banana cake. I did the knife test thingy to check that it was ready - it came out clean.

now that it is cook enough to eat, it is a little on the soggy side.

so, is it safe to eat? have I under-cooked it? or is it just moist because it is banana cake? The mixture did seem a little runny. I had it in the oven for longer than the recipe said.

I should stick to making pastry. I can do pastry.

Of course it is safe enough to eat.

It's just a bit on the moist side. This could be due to anthing, slight variation in oven temp, the moistness of the bananas etc.

It is still cooked. Banana cake is not ever going to be dry and crumbly like a mediera or sponge.

If it tastes nice that's all that matters!
