ideally cupcakes. Was thinking about just doing ordinary fairy cakes but making a spider's web with melted chocolate. Bit dull though, am looking for inspiration

If you get Hallowe'en lollies, you can trim the sticks down and put them into cupcakes. Black or green icing with those scary gummy sweets always goes down well in our house too.

In the BBCgoodfood magazine for November there was a large rectangular chocolate cake decorated to look like a graveyard. the gravestones were rich tea fingers dipped in chocolate IIRC.

last year I did an orange cheesecae and used melted chocolate to do a spiders web. Took ages!

This year Im going to make a tiramisu (terror-misu- geddit?!)and cut out a template of something and dust with cocoa powder to make a hallowween shape.

You could inject the cupcakes with raspberry jam or jelly so they ooze blood

Or put a cone shape out of the top of each cupcake and fill it with cream dyed orange or black and thenput the top back on.
