I whipped up way more cream than I needed today, so now have half a mixing bowl left.

Any ideas on what I can do with it? DH has made a suggestion

Lol I was just about to suggest the same as you DH I suspect

Trifle?

stinkypinky · 18/10/2009 18:56

Spread it on your naughty bits and have some fun (no, I am not your dh)

or hot choc

TokenFemale · 18/10/2009 19:02

you naughty ladies.

Have googled and th only suitble recipe seems to be banan whip.

Stake - we could use it on hot choc but there will be a lot left. I whipped up 1 litre and only used half.

Shiny - trifle is a good potential. Is it a lot of work though?

Do you have the necessary ingredients for scones? That gets my vote!

ShinyAndNew · 18/10/2009 19:10

I don't know I have never made one

I think you just buy sponge pieces, pour jelly and fruit over it and top with cream.

TokenFemale · 18/10/2009 19:13

ooh scones, yes that's a good option.

I have all the ingredients so wouldnt need to drag the children round the shops just to use up the cream!

Though Shiny, I could maybe use some cake I baked instead of the sponge pieces, then I would have everything in to make trifle too.
Oh, but hang on- isn't there custard in there somewhere?

Freeze it? Then you can choose when to use it.

stinkypinky · 18/10/2009 19:40

Custard is optional on trifle or naughty bits.

TokenFemale · 19/10/2009 11:20

thanks Northender. Didn't know you could freeze it.

I've made scones and kept half for those, and put the other half in the freezer

Hopefully DH won't be too disappointed.
