advice for making a pink magical cake for my DD

Hi

right I can cook, just want some tips.

Have cake tins (loose bottoms) that are 10inch.

Need to make a PINK cake for DD - Have bought Betty Crocker ready made icing as I love it, I will make that pink by using food colouring.

Just need tips / recipes to make cake perfect.

Also, have pink and white mini marshmallows and white choc buttons to put on top of cake as decoration, yummy!!

Want a victoria sponge cake.

Help - party tomorrow, going to make it tonight

Well, it sounds like you have it sorted

Make victoria sponge (google if you haven't got recipe) and if you want it pink, add some red food colouring to the cake mix before cooking.

Fill the cake with whipped cream with chopped up strawberries or raspberries in it, and/or a few tablespoons of raspberry jam. This will give you a nice pink filling and the slight sourness of the fruit will contrast nicely with the very sweet icing and cake.

Then just decorate with what you have!
