I've bought one
I've bought ingredients to make something I have made before in the oven but would like to make it in the slow cooker today

This is the recipe

Could any of you experts please help me "adapt" the recipe for the slow cooker. Do I just bung everything in and stick in on low for "x" (?? - 8 ??) hours or do I need to fry off any bits of it first ?

Thanks

Use half the liquid.
Definately fry off all the ingrediants first as you would do before you put in oven.

Depending on when you want it ready I would put it either on high for 2-3 hours or on low for about 7-8 hours. Or low for 5 hours and high for the last hour or so.

Thanks ... Would you add the haricot beans later (as normal) or pop them in with all the other stuff ?

I'd chuck it all in at same time.

Are they tinned?

Yes

I've just bookmarked that recipe as well. Looks gooood

If you like that kinda thing then this one is beautiful.

Yeah then chuck it all in.

I do beans at same time when I do my sausage and bean casserole in slow cooker.
