Disaster...need to bake cake but kitchen scales broken!
Any way I can 'weigh' ingredients by guesswork?

Actually I was about to bake, flapjacks, Australian crunch (cornflakes, coconut etc) Could I use a tablespoon - level for heavy ingredients - heaped for lighter? 1 tablespoon=1 oz? Or wouldn't this work for crushed cornflakes?
