Pumkins!!!

What can you do with them apart from cut silly faces in the sides.

I was thinking of making a cottage pie and mashing some pumkin into the potato. Can you do this and will it taste nice (for under 5yr olds)

What else can you do?

Pumkin soup....

Soup
fry a chopped onion, add chunks of peeled pumpkin, sweat for a few mins, add stock, seasoning, thyme and simmer till pumpkin is soft, then whizz up and serve with a swirl of cream.

I've made pumpkin icecream before but it languished in the freezer as we ate the nicer flavours.

Nice in a curry

use it like you would any other vegetable for roasting vegetables

in soups

mashed with sweet potato and a little bit of cinnamon

pumpkin pie

carribean lamp and pumpkin stew

pumpkin cake like carrot cake
