Is it normal for runner beans to have red beans/pods in side?

They range from pink to red, dependant on var.

Yeah, it's amazing actually, I kept some from last year to grow this year and the dried beans were black! Produced some very lovely runners tho.

My neighbour gave me tons of runner beans and I threw them away because the beans were red.
