economically speaking - lamb shanks vs diced lamb neck?

Meal planning this week am going to do a lamb with red wine and rosemary dish.

Usually use diced neck of lamb but am wondering about lamb shanks for a change. However don't know if they would be a lot more expensive?

Anyone know?

I bought 8 lamb shanks this week see thread here and they cost me £30. I imagine the diced stewing lamb might be cheaper, but possibly not as tasty.

thanks FIL turned up to take us just after so I decided to go for it.

I spent £10 and some pence on 4 so more expensive than the diced lamb but hopefully they will be good.
