How long will a bottle of red wine keep for if it's open but has a stopper in it?

Opened a bottle of red last friday, has had a stopper in it all week - can we still drink it or do we have to bin it?

I'd still drink it, but then I'll drink anything if I'm desparate!

I also have never had occasion to have wine for more than about 2 days open, so I am no authority!

I do know though, if it tastes a bit 'tart', add a splash of cassis or port if you've got it. It'll pep it up again.

I'd use it for cooking.

It would last about 10 minutes in our house.

Taste it and see. It might be fine, but I can't be sure as I've never left an open bottle unmolested that long.
