dowe egberts is quite nice.

NoBiggy · 23/09/2009 19:34

I like Kenco, does that have anything to do with Nestle?

hobbgoblin · 23/09/2009 19:35

Clipper

notgettinganyyounger · 23/09/2009 19:35

just checked the jar douwe and mine is called pure indulgence.

vacalocachachacha · 23/09/2009 19:37

I like CafeDirect.

differentID · 23/09/2009 19:38

I love Kenco

LuluMamaaaaarrrrr · 23/09/2009 19:40

Kenco good, Lidl do a really nice fair trade one though,

pippel · 23/09/2009 19:40

its so hard when you dont do nestle
such bastards but such nice kitkats

Umlellala · 23/09/2009 19:42

There is a Fair Trade one in Sainsburys, dh said was nice (I just bought it cos it was the cheapest coffee fullstop).

differentID · 23/09/2009 19:43

pippel, what I object to is going to the cienma and having bastard NEstle KitKats shoved on me because I'd bought a snack combo: 2 bottles of hideously expensive water and a box of popcorn.

I tried to refuse it but they pretty much shoved it at me. DH had it, looking guilty the whole time. he enjoyed it "as it's the last kitkat I'll have for a very long time"

LuluMamaaaaarrrrr · 23/09/2009 19:44

I MISS CHUNKY KITKATS

it's about 2 years and counting

differentID · 23/09/2009 19:46

I miss toffee crisp and aero and tooty frooties and decent not-too-expensive pet food.

pippel · 23/09/2009 19:46

I had the Salisbury's one and didn't like it but to be fair coffee is one thing I'm very picky about

Its really hard isn't it? they are everywhere!

InThisSequinBraYesYouOlaJordan · 23/09/2009 19:53

The Kenco Sustainable Development one is my fave.

I had a little look at a jar of Alta Rica in Sainsbury's last week, just to see if by any chance they had gone Fairtrade or had some sort of message that meant it was ok to buy. There wasn't.

I do at least get to drink it at Mum's whilst telling her off for buying it

BertieBotts · 23/09/2009 19:55

Well I have just got to the end of the jar of Tesco Fairtrade I tried, I thought it was quite nice but I had Nescafe at a friend's today and realised I had been kidding myself about the Tesco one I know it's only instant but there are definitely differences.

Think I might try Kenco...

kenco is nice.

I had to go to the corner shop and they had a great big jar of nescafe half price, I stood in front of the coffee for about 5 mins thinking "your on smp, no one would know!"

I bought kenco, but the woman in the shop now thinks Im a bit odd!

meltedmarsbars · 24/09/2009 12:31

Oxfam does CafeDirect Intense: you can offload your junk/unwanted gifts and but your coffe with a clean concience.

Or go European and put 1 tsp coffee grounds straight into cup and seive through teeth. (my dh is Czech, this is what they do for "instant")

meltedmarsbars · 24/09/2009 12:32

But your coffe? buy your coffee

southeastastra · 24/09/2009 12:32

co-op fair trade is the best by far and i'm very picky

I have the Sainsbos bog standard one and I couldn't tell the difference between that and the poshly packaged instants like Dougwe with my eyes closed.

belgo · 24/09/2009 12:48

Reality - My mum has aldi coffee, which she mixes with sainsbury's own, it tastes like dirt, even in comparison to Nescafé.

bran · 24/09/2009 12:50

I like Percol Americano (which is fair trade) or Percol Espresso (which I don't think is fair trade). I've recently bouth Percol African and I don't like it at all. I'm torn between finishing the jar even though I don't like it or just throwing it out and buying some Espresso, which would be a bit of a waste.

meltedmarsbars · 25/09/2009 10:17

NFQ drink through teeth
