What's good with baked white fish apart from boring boiled spuds........

Dauphinoise pots? (i.e sliced and layered with cheese and cream, then baked)

Chinese style, noodles and stir fry?

Mini baked potatoes en papillote i.e new potatoes wrapped in greaseproof paper with butter and baked in oven?

Bean, olive and tomato salad
Green salad
Bread
Fried potatoes
Stir fired broccoli with ginger & soy
Rice

Bulgar wheat (cook like rice, tastes like posh risotto!) with fried courgette slices, onion, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes stirred in.

Never tried it with fish but I'm sure it would be delicious!!

cous cous always works well with fish
Sliced up peppers, mushrooms, onions, courgette etc, roasted in hot oven for half an hr with a little olive oil

These green lentils and chorizo is lovely with fish...

Pan fry the white fish, then put on warm plate and cover to keep warm, then (For 2) In same pan fry the chopped up chorizo (60g), 5 spring onions, a chopped up red pepper and a chopped up garlic clove. Then add a drained and rinsed tin of green lentils, a handful of chopped up parsley, a squeeze of lemon juice and season.

Put lentil mixture on the plate and lay a piece of the cod/white fish on top.

In all honesty, it is gorgeous!

Bake the fish with a smear of tapenade (black olive paste) in a packet with cherry tomatoes, slivered red onions, and finely sliced - previously steamed - new waxy potatoes.). Serve with green beans wrapped in parma ham.
