anyone do this? need some yeast/tannin etc andcan't find everything i want at a reasonable price and wih reasonable postage [grr]

Our local hardware store does the basics. Some towns have home-brew shops which would sort you out. Whereabouts are you? Or try Freecycle - someone might have some spare to help you out.
